Do you need someone to talk to? Contact us today at 860-656-0450. Due to all o the stress with COVID-19, My People Clinical Services Executive Director, Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad has a message about supports offered here at the agency. For the last two weeks, you saw the trailer for the Fatherhood Manologues. Now, check out each individual story from the perspective of our presenters. We are currently working on our next live show and more details are to come. For now, enjoy "My Biggest Fan" by Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad. Due to concerns about the Corona Virus, the My People Clinical Services Anniversary Celebration is canceled. As much as we would like to celebrate our accomplishments and success with this milestone, the health of our staff, family, friends and supporters is more important to us. For now, everyone stay healthy, stay hydrated and stay happy.
What a speech! My People Clinical Services also gave out a $1,000 scholarship in the name of Abdul-Rahmaan Muhammad. Abdul-Rahmaan Muhammad was a long time social worker in our community for over 40 years. His impact on the Greater Hartford Community and Black Social Workers in general will never be forgotten. He is also the father of our Executive Director!
My People Clinical Services Executive Director, Abdul-Rahmaan I. Muhammad received the Community Services Award at the Alpha Kappa Alpha Regional Conference. Salute! On March 5, 2020, we celebrated our 15th Anniversary as an agency. Come out and join us as we celebrate where we have been and where we are going!
The Dad+ Campaign has hit social media with a bang with the Dad+ Animal Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to promote fatherhood and to ask fathers the question, "What are you trying to add to your children's lives?" and ask children, "What is your dad adding to your life?". |
